Park grounds are lovely. Walled garden was disappointing however it was was late February so not at its best. House was interesting. Tea room was good

Really enjoyed our visit. Hall interesting and well run by volunteers. Enjoyed a nice walk around the grounds and a picnic at the tables. Parking could be better.

Lovely place to visit with lots of beautiful walks. The bird life is plentiful. The house is interesting and worth looking around but the grounds are stunning. Be sure to get there early to ensure easy parking as there are fewer parking spaces than expected. I would also suggest you take your own food and drink as this was very mediocre and the only reason this is a 4 not a 5 star rating.

It was okay, but we were left really frustrated. We were told part of the Lake was closed off, but what we wasn't told was that the detour took us through a really hazardous quagmire. One of our party had a terrible fall, it left us so frustrated.

Lovely estate to walk around. Some parts are corded off though. The walled garden is full of history just like the house. The second hand bookshop was full of some good books.the stables cafe was closed for renovations. The staff were all friendly and helpful.

Interesting manor house , couldn't get a full view as scaffold up on the frontage but ok. Nice walk down to the lake...which is accessed by crossing a field , through a gate and then second field down to lakeside. Completely spoiled on the second leg by dog mess. Bins are provided but obviously ignored . Would like to see dogs banned or should it be their owners

As a visitor on my own with my dog I found the toilets on the car park very useful

We had a guided tour of the house upstairs was closed for winter. the information about the house anx it's history was very interesting and we thoroughly enjoyed our visit. The grounds are lovely and we might well go back again to see the restoration work being carried out.

I was very impressed. It was a beautiful Georgian interior on a relatively small scale. They were interesting to see the economies that were made in making g a flat ceiling look domed, painted "wedgewood" panels appear 3d by use of shadows. The paintings commemorating Admiral Lord Rodney's battles were great. The Capability Brown landscape was a good wall around the lake but we didn't see any herons on our visit in January.

Lovely country house, gardens and estate. The team shoring the house today at 12 did a great job. The light and fog/mist made for some good photography.
